 Customs & Security.

Passport Control:

Flights from Non-Schengen Countries must provide the following information prior to departure towards Greenland:

Aircraft Type, Registration and Nationality.
Company ( Owner / Operator ) Name and Contact Information.
Point of Departure and ETA for Destination.
Numbers of Crew and Passengers.
Name and Signature of a Company Representative.

For flights to Narsarsuaq this must be sent to Narsaq Police by fax (299) 661 617.

Customs.

Narsarsuaq AFIS will notify Customs of all inbound international flights.

Greenland Customs and Duty Regulations.

Duty-free importation of goods to Greenland only, if the traveler brings or purchases the goods when arriving to Greenland.
Duty-free beer, wine and spirits may be imported by persons over 18 years of age.
Duty-free tobacco products may be imported by persons over 17 years of age.

Duty-free goods can be purchased in Narsarsuaq Airport tax-free shop after landing and before customs.

Importation of dogs and cats requires a permit from the township in which they are staying.
Importation of birds requires no permit.
Pets on transit flights requires no permit, but must remain on the airport area.

Security Check.

Security check is mandatory on all international route and charter flights.

Caution.

   Safety.
When boarding or leaving an aircraft it is necessary to cross the apron. In connection with large aircraft passengers will be guided by security personnel. For their own safety crew and passengers are requested to walk as straight as possible and stay clear of heavy equipment and other aircraft on apron. Smoking is prohibited on apron.
